Last year students with vision needs were selected to receive a free pair of glasses provided by Lens Crafters, The Lions Club and Patrick Henry High School. On October 3rd PHHS provided a free bus trip to North Point Clinic. While at North Point Clinic, students received an eye exam, and glasses created and then fitted for 31 students.
Two years ago a similar effort screened (See pics of volunteers and students) 360 students to identify those students who were in need of additional vision aid. The screening revealed that approximately 150 students have significant vision needs. Those who needed vision services, but were not insured or had a financial hardship, were referred to programs sponsored by LensCrafters and its parent company, Luxottica Reta.
