Career & College Center

The goal of the of the AchieveMpls Career and College Center Coordinator is to assist all students with goal setting, decision making, and aid them in the successful transition from high school to post-secondary options.  Post-secondary options include any sort of training/credential you receive after high school, whether that be an apprenticeship or bachelor's degree program.

Have you thought about:

  • What type of career you would like (i.e. do you like to work with people or do something hands-on)?
  • How much training or education you would need?
  • Where you would go for training or education?
  • How you would pay for it?

We can help you:

  • Take an on-line survey that can help you learn more about your interests and careers that fit your interests.
  • Research career possibilities and learn more about how much money you could earn, what the long-term outlook is for a job, what kind of education you need after high school, and more.
  • Research college options for certificate programs, 2-year schools and 4-year schools that meet your needs.
  • Work on application, whether it be for a job or for college.
  • Learn about how you can pay for college, research and apply for scholarships and the FAFSA.
  • Talk with someone about your dreams for your future and how to make them a reality.

The Career and College Center also hosts:

  • Career Speakers, where students hear from professionals working anywhere from computer technology to health care to law enforcement to writing a book.
        - Career Speakers will be presenting in each grade level Advisory twice a year.
