Niam Nkauj Txhav Qaib Lub Kua Muag (NNTQ’s Tears)
I personally like this version:
Original: (w/ Hmong lyrics & some explaination):
*Real Singer is Meena Thao. Her songs are not available anywhere on the web except here.
Moral: “Niam Nkauj Txhav Qaib” & “Txiv Nraug Txhav Noog” (American-like pronounciation: “Nhia Gao Cha Kai” and “Chee Dao Cha Nong”) are characters from a fairy tale. So are “Niam Nkauj Hnub” & “Txiv Nraug Hli” (American-like pronounciation: “Nhia Gao Nou” and “Chee Dao Hli”). Names are initialed in the translation. NNTQ (girl) and TNTN (boy) are from a different story than NNH (girl) and TNH (boy), but both stories have the same concept.

The girl references NNTQ (Nhia Gao Cha Kai) and TNTN (Chee Dao Chai Nong) in the first line of the song and says that they love each other very much and is willing to do anything for one another. She compares her story to theirs, as he suddenly leaves her for someone else. She also says that her love story used to be like NNH (Nhia Gao Nou) and TNN (Chee Dao Hli) as they loved each other a lot.
She’s super sad and depressed that he left her and says that she cries and waits for him. But at the end of the song, she finally gives up on waiting for him and hopes that he will come back with regrets.

NOTE: “black heart” is a term that Hmong people uses and it refers to someone who is really mean. “You’re heart is so black,” means that you have a mean heart.
