The holidays are fast approaching and if you're like most high school and college students you have a lot to get done before you can relax over winter break. On top of exams and final projects you need to buy presents for your friends and family. This can be extremely stressful for young people with a tight spending budget. Finding holiday gifts for less makes giving not only affordable, but fun. There are countless gifts that are wallet friendly; here are a few to get you started.
1. Fleece Tie Blanket: these cozy gifts can be personalized for anyone and they are easy to make. Directions on how to make these blankets can be found online and fabric can be purchased for 50% off regular price right now at Joann Fabric.
2. Gift Cards: Gift cards are a great gift for those harder to shop for family members. You also don't have spend a fortune to give them something they'll love.
3. Holiday treats: Not only are homemade treats personal, they are an inexpensive way to spread some holiday cheer.
4. Makeup: Makeup is a great gift idea for the trend setter. Target offers makeup sets for around 10 dollars or less. The e.l.f makeup brand sold at Target stores sells makeup palettes complete with an eye makeup tutorial all for five dollars.
5. IOU's: A thoughtful gift for parent's is to make your own booklet filled with coupons such as “one free night of babysitting” or “One homemade dinner.” Not only is the gift budget friendly, but it shows that you put time and effort into making a personalized gift.

While it is always nice to get a gift from friends and family, keep in mind one of the best holiday gifts is quality time with those you love most. Happy Holidays and a very happy New Year.
