Cal Ripken Team8 Tour Coming to PHHS

We are excited to announce our partnership with the Cal Ripken Foundation Team8 Tour! Every year, Team8 Tour members hit the road to reduce need, restore health, and renew hope in city schools. Together, we will work to beautify some of the prime locations within PHHS. During tour stops, Team8 Tour volunteers teach staff and students how to make the most of any new resources to benefit their health and fitness—life skills education lessons that last long after we leave town. Our focus will be:

  • Updating our weight rooms
  • Updating the community garden
  • Creating a multi-purpose athletic /dance space
  • Remodeling a staff workroom area

We will be hosting a kick-off Wednesday, October 24th! If interested in joining us, email Quinton.bonds@mpls.k12.mn.us

Herobotics Advance to International Championship

Henry's own 'FIRST Team 2500 Herobotics' again won the highest regional award at a robotics competition this last Saturday in Iowa and so will be advancing to the International Championship in St Louis!  Commenting on the award, the judges highlighted how students provided more than 9,000 hours of community service, developed a Minneapolis robotics hub and created a strong, well rounded team, as some key reasons for their earning the highest award.
