One of the requirements for GEAR up is that students are met with at least 2 times a year, this is individually and during a classroom lesson like my life plan. It is also required to meet at least 50% of the parents.  I am servicing all Freshmen students (these students do not have to be previously GEAR UP). I do all the things that counselors do and I am just Funded by a federal grant.  I would be glad to talk more with parents.  One of the first things that will be important in coming to Henry is getting to know the students and developing a good rapport with them. Being visible and letting them know I am available to assist them when needed.
