MPS Graduation Rates on the Rise; PHHS at the Top!

education_3.png

For the third year in a row, the percentage of high school students graduating from Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) has increased. The MPS graduation rate increased 5 percent, from 54 to 59 percent. This is an increase across all high schools and represents improvement for nearly all student groups. Patrick Henry High School stood out increasing the graduation rate from about 78% to 86%.  (see chart attached.)

Moving forward, we must build on this growth, acting with a sense of urgency to reach our vision of making every student college and career ready after high school. While any improvement is encouraging, we have further to go in reaching our goal.
In support of Acceleration 2020, we will follow our vision to provide our students with the highest quality education and prepare them for success well beyond their time with MPS.

Congratulations Patriots! Well done!
