Kelsey and her sister Lindsey (a future Patriot), are a Patriot sister duo that led the Brooklyn Center High School Bowling Team this year. The Brooklyn Center Team is made up of 13 members from around the northwest metro area. They compete in a 10 team league in a variety of alleys from Brooklyn Center to Maple Grove. The Legacy asked Kelsey to break down the pats season and her life in bowling.
When did you start bowling?
I've always bowled. My whole family bowls. My older brother Justin '09 used to bowl in this league as well.
How often do you bowl?
A lot. I have practice on Tuesdays and tournaments on Wednesdays and Fridays. I bowl in another league on Saturdays.
What's you best game ever?
I rolled a 194 a few years back. A few weeks ago I got a 170.
How does your sister compare to you in ability?
We're about equals. She's getting very good.
Where do you do most bowling?
Earle Browne and New Hope.
Do you have any advice for people that just go out one or twice a year and bowl?
Have fun and aim for the middle. And don't be afraid to join a league. We had a bunch of new people join our team this year. You have fun meeting new people and you will get good coaching from your teammates and coach.
