PHHS Open House Oct. 26th, 6pm

We have a lot of great things happening at Patrick Henry High School and we want to share that with the world. We are inviting prospective students along with their families to come and check us out! This event is one you do not want to miss with performances from our band, choir, step team and more. Come learn about our amazing academic programs and extracurricular activities. The program starts promptly at 6pm. We hope to see you there!

Special Additions this year:

"Parent Academy" class for 9th and 10th grade families (and new families) in English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali.  Each session is 45 minutes

Important info to share will be:  How does Standards Based Grading work?  How can I contact my student's teachers? How do I access Parent portal?  What are graduation requirements?

Tuesday, October 18th

5:45 - 6:30 - English (lab 223), Hmong (lab 224)

6:30 - 7:15 - Spanish (lab 223), Somali (lab 224)

Wednesday, October 19th

9:00 - 9:45 - English (lab 223), Hmong (lab 2245)

 

10:00 - 10:45 - Spanish (lab 223), Somali (lab 224)

We will also have a FAFSA Completion Workshop at Henry on Tuesday, Oct. 18th from 4:00-7:30.  If you attend, you can be entered into a drawing to win a $500 scholarship!

 

Materials/info needed to fill out the FAFSA:

·         Your Social Security number (it’s important that you enter it correctly on the FAFSA!)

·         Your parents’ Social Security numbers if you are a dependent student

·         Your driver’s license number if you have one

·         Your Alien Registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen

·         Federal tax information* or tax returns including IRS W-2 information, for you (and your spouse, if you are married), and for your parents if you are a dependent student:

·         IRS 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ

·         Foreign tax return and/or

·         Tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, or Palau

·         Records of your untaxed income, such as child support received, interest income, and veterans non-education benefits, for you, and for your parents if you are a dependent student

·         Information on cash; savings and checking account balances; investments, including stocks and bonds and real estate but not including the home in which you live; and business and farm assets for you, and for your parents if you are a dependent student
