Check out the first day of school Video Messege from Mr. Abdullah

Our educators have been preparing over the last two weeks for you by collaborating with each other, learning new strategies and skills to engage students in distance learning, and setting up google sites which is where students would log on for classes.

It is our hope that this partnership between the school and families will be stronger than ever before. On the school side we will be caring, supportive and patient as well become familiar with all the nuances distance learning will throw at us. We will communicate regularly, make the classrooms easily accessible for students through our student learning hub, and be responsive to our student’s needs.  Above all, we will continue to have high expectations for all students.

We want families to know the block schedule and support students with going to their sites at the scheduled times. We want you to communicate with us if there is something going on that will prevent our students from engaging in school or would hinder students being as successful during distance learning as possible. We want this to work for YOU!

The school day starts at 8:30am and we will end each day at 3:25pm. We will be on a A/B block schedule with Tuesday, 9/8 being an “A” Day. For more information checkout our student learning hub

For families that were not able to attend our welcome event and pick up supplies we will continue to offer material pick up Tuesday, September 8th through Friday, September 11th from 9am-5pm. Please stop by Henry’s parking lot during those times.

We know this summer has been very challenging for many of us and we are not expecting to dismiss what we all have been through. Together, we will learn, grow, and stand tall during these times.

Be well!

Mr. Yusuf Abdullah
