Xavier Goodman, Class of '18 Visits London

Project SUCCESS motivates and inspires young people to dream about the future, helps them take steps to get there and gives them the tools they need to achieve their goals.
The mission of Project Success is supported by in school workshops, community events and theater experiences. Our very own Xavier Goodman was able to participate in a theater experience all the way in London!
Xaiver was able to see the plays  “One Night in Miami” and “King Leer.” Here are some of the highlights from Xavier's trip in his words.
London is very diverse. Walking down the street you see multiple races  and hear different languages spoken, in fact the residents said that over 300 languages are spoken there. I felt like I was at home. The people there were very welcoming. We stayed at the Judd Hotel. My experience overall was nothing short of amazing.

In reference to theater, I learned you can have a dream to do something but if you don’t have motivation or a will, that dream won’t turn out the way you want to. My dream is to become a successful screen actor. I do not think of it as a dream, I think of it as “reality” it is something that will become a reality. The only thing standing in my way is time. The play experience pushed me more toward the mindset that my dreams will become my reality. Growing up I have always connected with characters like Dragon Ball Z for example. How amazing would that be to play a character you connect with in some way shape or form? My experience in London taught me that the sky is the limit.

My favorite part of the trip was seeing the London Eye and actually getting in it. From the Eye, I was able to see Big Ben and the 3rd Global Theater built! I thank Project Success for this amazing experience!
